Through The Wardrobe

Flying over the cuckoo’s nest

Mr Kipling Eat Your Heart Out May 4, 2008

Today has been cool. Although now I can’t stop sneezing, I’m hoping it’s just Hayfever and not me getting a cold.

Before the sneezing, my mother and I did some cooking. First we made burgers…Quorn burgers for me, being a vegetarian and all and then the meat variety for others. I say ‘we made’….she made them, I just supervised. An important role I feel. Then we (she) got onto making the fun stuff….she’s made Bakewell Tarts and chocolate cakes! (See samples below) Two of each. Mr Kipling can’t match my Mum’s baking. I sat on the worktop and watching….eating the mix out of the bowl when she wasn’t looking…I know you’re not supposed to with the whole, raw egg thing but I don’t care. Sue me. She’s made a cake and a tart for the FP, however the FP isn’t down tomorrow….therefore she can’t have them and it means all the more for me :-D Haha I did call my Mum an FP as well….she didn’t look impressed. I tried to tell her it was a term of endearment but she didn’t believe me.

I watched an awesome film last night….Charlotte Gray….I didn’t think I’d like it, but it was reeeally good. I was trying to watch it whilst revising and catching up on all the latest news from Sam. The latter two got neglected. Then I watched most of Boy A….I got quite confused though, I think it’s ‘cos I was tired. It was still quite good though.

There’s a new Prince Caspian clip, about the Pevensie’s journey, up on Youtube and Disney. It seems well changed from the book…Peter is now this arrogant person and all bossy and a bit mean, which I never really got from the book. Susan…is like fighting and becoming like a warrior…which I don’t believe she is supposed to ‘cos she was Susan the Gentle. The other two are fine though. I am excited.

I’m going to go do some work now…and to try and stop being snuffly.

  1. I wish you mum was my mum.
    Actually no I don’t.
No offence to you mum or anything.
It’s just I already have one.

I just want the chocolate cake.
But I’d make do with a tart (ooh er)

  2. Every time I comment here (EVERY time) I read it after and I’ve either spelt stuff wrong, missed words out, added words in or summat!

As your FP says – GOON!!!

  3. And that was perfect – if spelt is a word. Should it be spelled?

  4. Now I’m just basically having a conversation with myself on your blog.
    And that’s just rude!

Hahahaha that’s all really made me cackle. Typos well make me laugh. I have a simple sense of humour. Feel free to have conversations to yourself on my blog…..I sometimes feel like commenting myself because I’ve thought of something to say/argue. :-)

Spelt is perfectly correct I believe. Spelled is the more American version, although equally as correct, if I am not mistaken. I am now sounding quite nerdy….so I shall stop.
