Do you find your Christian philosophy draws you into situations where your values are compromised? At all? In any way?

I was thinking in particular of issues related to hugging people you dislike. With frightening regularity.

And I wanted to fit ‘philosophy’ and ‘values’ into a sentence.

Hahaha words like that make me feel compelled to write it as if it were an essay. I do feel quite a lot of the time that the two compromise each other….for example I’m a bit of a snob, I judge people etc….which doesn’t exactly tally with the Christian teachings….however Jesus’ disciples didn’t exactly fit in with what is now seen as the Christian “norm”, even though they were right with Jesus at the time.

I’ve lost where I’m going with this answer now….so to sum up…they do compromise each other…..and I do try and live by the former, but the latter….is me.

I can’t be bothered to read through that to see if it makes sense.

    I have a similar problem.
My philosophy that ‘going to church (occasionally) is good’ clashes with my philosphies that ‘life should be fun’ and ’sundays are for sleeping’.
I’ve just learned the concepts of ‘values’ and philosophies’ at school.
    Can you tell?
